Outpatient physical therapy may be recommended as a first course of treatment to relieve pain in the shoulder, elbow, wrist or hand.
Following surgery to the upper extremities, Mercy’s licensed physical and occupational therapists visit patients in the hospital to help patients regain strength prior to discharge from the hospital.
